Material and quality

The outer fabric is woven by the Italian specialist weaver Olmetex for the Outerwear II collection. The compact weave, at 100 g/m², is treated to repel water and block wind, keeping the gilet light and easy to move in without compromising on weather protection. The colour is charcoal grey.

Design and fit

The gilet has a stand collar, a full-length zip and a flapped chest pocket along with side pockets. The quilting is laid in a diamond pattern, and the silhouette is fitted to the body. The gilet is tailored in House of Vinterberg's Showroom in Copenhagen and comes in sizes 46 to 70.

Styling

The gilet is a mid-layer that works under a coat or on its own over knitwear and a shirt.

Natural fibres in half-canvas construction reward gentle handling - that keeps the jacket alive for ten years, not five.

Never home-wash. Only professional dry-cleaning when needed - typically once a season.
Curved wooden hangers. Preserve the shoulder line. Never metal or plastic.
Steam, don't iron. Hold 5-10 cm from the piece, move along the weave direction.
Cedar in the closet. Natural moth protection.
Rest between wears. Let the jacket rest 24 hours on a hanger.
